Spring is for Letterboxing!

If you can dodge the raindrops, Spring is the best time for letterboxing in Southeast Texas. The poison ivy has died down; the mosquitos haven't revved up; and the weather tends toward lower humidity...plus, the azaleas and wildflowers are in bloom.

Before baseball season gets into super busy mode, we've been sneaking out for some letterboxing fun. A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky enough to get to letterbox at Brazos Bend State Park.

Here the two dragon boys pose excitedly by the entrance to the trails. We finally found boxes that were hidden for the 2005 gathering!
